What is Mako Green?

A colour, duh-face.

In Final Fantasy VII Mako is a distilled, liquidised form of the lifestream The energy of the planet - essentially soul energy, as when someone or something dies, while their physical form becomes part of the ground (as on our planet, that's why we still have nutrients in the earth... mostly), the soul becomes part of this lifestream, where it is diluted and their personality is eased from it (In most cases, exceptions exist, should you be an ancient, or say, if part of your mind was absorbed into an idiot just before you died.) The Final Fantasy VII world is unique amongst fantasy in that it stands up to logical and philosophical conjecture. Using out logical minds we can make conjecture about Gaia which is more accurate than Christianity, by far And it doesn't even EXIST! How cool is that?

The Colour of Mako (and the life-stream) vary. They vary between a #00ff9f to an #00ff77. Now, unless you can merely look at an RGB code and go "ooh, that's a cyan", or "That's also cyan, but more green", that won't mean much to you. Great, I'm going to have to do WORK aren't I? Fine...

Wow, that's nice. I might start using that as my HR from now on. Anyway, there has been much speculation on what causes colour variation. By far the most feasible (and only) suggestion has been it's purity. Makes perfect sense. In D the Mako they use is pure. Totally pure. We're talking little children. Little certified clean children. It's the more blue colour closer to the beginning of our table above. In A, the lifestream was filthy It was a blackish-green colour. As the last, so-marked row in our table. Usually it's quite tame green-ish turquoise, of average purity (like the second/third block in the table). My boyfriend's a genius.

Anyway! I chose the name "Mako-Green" for this site for several reasons: It sounds good. It has pretty initials. MAKO 4 letters, GREEN, 5 letters. A closeness in length between Miltie-word titles and names, along with a brevity, makes a good name like "Kate Bush" or "Benji Smith" not like "Storm Constantine" 4-4, 5-5 4-5 or 5-4 names work best. Catherine Bush does not. If its going to be uneven, it should favor the end. Oh, and "Final Fantasy Fan" and "Gaia Online" were already taken.

So, there you go. A science *cough* lesson, and a lesson on choosing catchy names.
